The Wonder Lipstick

I wasn't always into lips. My mum always used to moan at me because I'm quite 'go hard or go home' when it comes to eye make-up and she thinks it's unbalanced not to wear something on your lips as well. I think she might be right!

I picked up the L'oreal Collection Privée Lipstick in 'Cheryl's Nude' as part of a 3 for 2 in Superdrug. I'd had my eye on this collection for a while (in case you don't know, the idea is the collection is all nudes, with each L'oreal spokeswoman lending her name to a different shade - in this case Cheryl Cole), however I was struggling to match myself. Cheryl's nude looks quite dark in the bullet, and I didn't want a dark lipstick. I wanted something low-key that I could wear to work without it washing me out. Love for Ms Cole will out though, and eventually I gave in and popper it in my basket. And so it began.

This lipstick is truly fab! The packaging is quite sleek for L'oreal. It's a lovely matte black finish - very minimal and chic. The lipstick itself is a lovely creamy formula so it doesn't dry lips out but also doesn't have any hideous sparkle. I personally have a problem with anything adhering to my lips but I get a safe hour and a half to two hours wear before I have to top up, and in my books that is pretty long lasting! The colour is my absolute perfect nude and I'm kicking myself for wasting so much time worrying about it. The brownish tones really warm my face up and the depth of colour is perfect for how dark my lips actually are. Instead of washing me out this nude actually makes my face look a little bit more awake! An absolute god send when you have to get a bus to work before 8am!

Cheryl's Nude has basically got everything I want in a lipstick - and I pretty much got it for free on the 3 for 2 deal. I've been wearing it just about everyday since I picked it up. Plus when my mum came to Glasgow to visit the other day she gave me a compliment on my make-up! Objective achieved!

Has anyone else used a Collection Privée lipstick? Do you love them as much as me?
